workcamp,
22/07- 08/08Organizator:
Centre for Intercultural Dialogue Kumanovo and SAVA
\\\"Rail for peace\\\" is a so-called traveling workcamp, which will take
place in Macedonia and 2 other places in the Balkans. The main topic of the traveling workcamp is *peace education. *The volunteers will have a training in the first week in Kumanovo (Macedonia), after that they are supposed to run workshops and organize a local exhibition in and around workcamps in the region. Finally they will have an valuation in Ohrid (Macedonia)where they exchange experiences, also set up an local exhibition and have a follow-up discussion.
*Background and methodology of moving exhibition*
A traveling workcamp is a proved concept of \\\'training for trainers\\\'
in which the participants are being trained to run workshops for other
workcamp-volunteers. After the training itself the volunteers divide
up in small groups and travel to other workcamps, to run a workshop about a certain topic, in this case peace education and conflict resolution. After the workshops the participants of the traveling workcamp come together again and share experiences.
> In this traveling workcamp the methodology of the moving exhibition
will be also used. In the first week there will be also creative workshops about photography and the participants are supposed to take pictures which promote peace vs. war in the former conflict area around Kumanovo.
>
> The moving exhibition is a methodology where every participant is
having a photo made during the workshop and a message next to the photo carried around by them. The people in the town will have a chance to see the exhibition, ask questions, and get to know more about the photo, the message, and the young person actually carrying the photo.
